COOPERATION MEMORANDUM SIGNED

Minister for Foreign Affairs L.Bold and President of the Peace and Friendship Organization of Mongolia D.Zagdjav signed a cooperation memorandum on November 26.

Under the document, the parties undertake commitments to cooperate in disseminating factual information on Mongolia in the neighboring and other countries for building better understanding about the country, in encouraging and promoting initiatives and incentives of Mongolian citizens living abroad, and in expanding the role of the public diplomacy in the foreign affairs.

The foreign affairs and foreign policy implementation lies with not only the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. To keep abreast of the world development pace, the state shall work together with the people. These are stipulated in a number of documents such as the national security and foreign policy concepts and platform of the Government for Changes, Mr. Bold commented and emphasized an importance of their realization.

The Peace and Friendship Organization of Mongolia was founded in 1958. Used to call as “the second foreign ministry”, the union has made a significant contribution to the expansion of foreign relations of Mongolia, the Minister added.
