ESTABLISHING A BRIDGE OF COMMUNICATION

“Tea road cooperative international 2015 Lu’an” conference representatives of the Mongolian side from the Peace and Friendship Organization of Mongolia (PFOM)  governor of Tuv aimag D. Bayarbat, governor of Darkhan-Uul aimag S.Nasanbat, governor of Selenge aimag S. Burenbat, Deputy director of Neighboring countries of  PFOM Yo. Maksim, 1st Secretary of the Mongolian Embassy in the PRC T. Munkhgerel, 1st Secretary of Department of Neighboring Countries E.Undraa, Senior Analyst at Investment Bank M. Erdenechimeg took part in the “Tea Road Cooperative International 2015 Lu’an” conference on 27-29th April, 2015 in Lu’an city of Anhui province in China. This conference was initiated as part of the “Silk Road Economic Belt” and “One belt, One Road” strategic initiatives proposed by the People’s Republic of China aimed to renew the “Tea Road Cooperative” and contribute to the development of culture, tourism industry, commerce in the cities located along the route. The PFOM is currently working on establishing a bridge of communication between the provinces and cities of the 3 countries. Although the Tea Route was established a 1000 years after the Silk road the economic impact of the former is immense. Apart from trade it contributed greatly to the development of friendly relations and cultural exchange and between the societies along the route.

It is also worth noting that on the 16th of November, 2014 in Yu Shan, China the Peace and Friendship Organization of Mongolia, Society for the Promotion of Chinese Culture, and the administration of the Kaluga province of the Russian Federation signed a cooperation agreement extending the scope of the Tea Route to “Tea Route International Cooperation Organization”.
