The President of the Peace and Friendship Organization of Mongolia Mr. Zagdjav attended the opening of the “Soldiers of the Khalkhin Gol- mighty warriors of the motherland” photography exhibition. The exhibition was organized to commemorate the 70^th anniversary of the victory at Khalkhin Gol and contained some rare archives and photographs which will be displayed at the Russian Central Armed Forces Museum at a later date.

Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation I.K. Azizov, the Republic of Belarus S.V. Chepurnoi and the Republic of Kazakhstan K.I. Koblandin made opening remarks for the opening of the exhibition.

At the opening of the exhibition the Director General of the Department of Neighboring Countries T.Tugsbilguun, Chief of the Mongolia-Russian Friendship Society, Hero of the USSR, astronaut J. Gurragchaa and other officials were present.

The rare items displayed at the exhibition were collected by the Russian exploration team “Vostochni Ryubezh”.
